There are the labor-intensive paintings and pieces that (in my dreams) deserve grand unveilings and generous essays. And then there are the little things that I do for fun.

These are the equivalent of the silly doodles that you would find in the margins of my high-school notebooks. Or, to put it another way, they’re what my brain came up with during weekly staff meetings or when I’m on hold.

You’re not likely to find any of these as a print or a poster in my store. If you really want one (or something similar) made just for you, let’s talk. We’ll make it happen. In the meantime, enjoy these warm-ups and other practice splatters. These are for the joy, after all.

Judge-y McMemory

I used to worry I couldn’t draw more than a handful of things, but now I can at least draw two more things than before.

Emotional Appliances

What’s the inner world of a household appliance like? I have no idea, but I drew some fun doodles.

Playing Metallics

How dare a surprise care package contain the art supplies I was never brave enough to buy for myself!
