there is hope in divinity; there will be
peace in the face of suffering.
I find my courage in this: I know
I have not been abandoned.

for all that falls apart despite my best
efforts; through every abhorrent atrocity
threatening to overtake my spirit
with unbearable grief; amidst the
relentless storm of horrors; still
I find myself with this:

an abundance of reassurance
brings me (back) to the realization(s)
and revelation(s) of the infinite
mystery within me and without which
I would not know how to live.

Bright Angels, light my path!
Holy Ancestors, give me strength.
Fortify my faith, O God,
and set my spirit at ease.
